Odessa Children Fund has two goals:
to raise awareness about the abandoned children and
to provide financial assistance to the orphanage
We want to raise awareness about the forgotten children, beginning with Odessa because it is a place where we were children once upon a time. Our objective is to remain a small non-profit organization and to personally carry out the goals of the organization. Besides providing orphanges with necessities on a yearly basis, we want to establish a scholarship system for talented and promising children to receive college education. We believe that by providing educational opportunities for these kids they will not end up on the street again. If there are no prospects for higher education and consequent employment, these young adults will continue to struggle with poverty and abuse, never being able to break the cycle. In addition we wish to expand our assistance into the area of medical care. We want to ensure that each child has an opportunity to see a doctor and a dentist, depending on their needs. We will occasionally collaborate with other non-profit organizations in Odessa and work collectively on improving conditions in existing orphanages.
We hope to achieve our goals through kind generosity of those who want to make a difference in the lives of children. It is our greatest wish to make significant changes in the way these children live by giving them what every child needs: support, kindness and encouragement.
